Introducing the third sheng from India! The Mizoram Sheng! Made from 2020 Spring maocha, this was long overdue to be released! Although we could not get our hands on their black teas again, this is something which will rekindle your interest in the region and we will meanwhile work to make more batches of this and get the black teas in stock again!
The dry leaf smells grassy with a hint of fruit. After the wash, the leaves have notes of moringa with a fruity background again. The infusion has notes of freshly cut grass with an extremely long fruity aftertasteThere's a trademark young sheng astringency which makes it a very lively tea to drink, it is this part of the taste which transforms into a fresh fruity aftertaste, dominant in apricots with hints of jujube as well. The taste is very consistent with the same notes being present in all the infusions. We hope you enjoy this small batch sheng from the north east corner of India! We promise we will get a bigger batch of this eventually!
