Much awaited and finally back in stock! We are going with a February end batch once again. It is grown in Coonoor, Nilgiri at an altitude of 6300 feet. Their motto is to preserve the leaf's character resulting in some exceptional teas. The people making this tea work hard in the misty Nilgiris bringing you this experience, the steep slopes are not an easy place to work! It is made from CR6017 cultivar, an assamica and cambod(yes!) hybrid, specially developed for growing in the Nilgiri region.
The dry leaf smells refreshing, a little fruity and sweet. When placed on the heated ware, we get a creamy aroma along with rose bud note. On the first sip, you are greeted with a delicious note of mango fruit leather. A touch of dryness is present on the finish, making the liquor even more refreshing. As you sip further, you get even more fresh tropical fruit notes of pineapple and pear. On the floral part, the rose bud shines, greeting you on later sips. The tea is extremely fruity with notes of green grapes, guava, litchi and apricots as well, more prominent when the liquor cools down. We hope you enjoy this reintroduction as much as us, it was a delight tasting it for the description here!
