Experience the taste of Nilgiri summers through our new Nilgiri Summer Black Tea. This one is very different from most of our Nilgiri teas, the tasting notes will tell you why. A touch of complexity in simplicity is what defines this tea.
The dry leaf smells like wheat with a touch of spice on the finish. When placed on heated ware, you get notes of malt and the spice, dominant in star anise. On your first sip, you get notes of saffron, mint and just a hint of malt. In fact, this is our first tea with a malt note from the Nilgiris. As you sip further, you can experience the spicy finish more prominently, consisting of star anise, nutmeg and saffron. There is a fruity sweetness on offer too, resembling red apple and oranges with litchi in the aftertaste. The tea also has abundant grainy notes present with wheat, sticky rice and barley notes on offer, how unique! It almost smells like old school grocery shops in India where there are some beautiful Indian grains in big containers to shop from. We hope you enjoy this amazing tea and it brightens your day with its beautiful orange liquor!
